Stefan Salvatore was born, Novemeber 5th 1847 he is a 165 year old vampire and the son of Giuseppe Salvatore, he was turned 1864 by a vampire called Katerina Petrova.He is the boyfriend of Elena Gilbert the brother of Damon Salvatore and currently resides is Mystic Falls, Virgina.

Meeting Katerina Petrova[]
In 1864, a girl called Katerina Petrova (aka Katherine Pierce), she arrived with her friend Pearl and her daughter Anna. Katherine arrived at the time that The Founders Council were searching for vampires unknowing that she was a vampire The Salvatore Family kindly invited her to stay with them. Before Katherine could accomplish this, Giuseppe drugged Stefan's drink with vervain, Katherine then drunk from Stefan and was poisoned, Stefan and Damon were shot by there father while trying to rescue Katherine, luckily Stefan had her blood in his system and was Turned into a vampire
